Barisan Nasional Lost 5 States - Security , Peace and Prosperity has Begun

Latest updates from The Star Press.

  • The Barisan lost Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor,
  • PAS strengthened grip on Kelantan,
  • Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting won in their seats,
  • Among ministers who lost their seats were Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu, Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Datuk Seri Zainuddin Maidin,
  • Gerakan acting president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon lost to Dr P. Ramasamy in the Batu Kawan parliamentary seat.
The lost 5 states to opposition is the 1 history in the Malaysia General Election with the defeated of 3 Cabinet ministers and the Chief minister of Pulau Pinang. This is a good beginning of the bargaining power by the people from the previous doubtful victory of Barisan Nasional. Indeeds, it is not by the one-man-play but the sense of urgency for true democracy, tranparent governance and fair power sharing.

"In the provincial elections, the ruling BN faced its biggest electoral defeat as the opposition claimed victories in five of the 13 states, putting Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmed Badawi’ s political future at risk." The Thaindian.com

Indians rejected S. Samy Vellu ealrier before the general election where they were HINDRAF rally performed by the Indian due to the ignorance of the Indian welfare by the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC). They are categorized as the lower-class society ad Barisan Nasional has put them in a great struggles especially in the area of economic and religion. DAP is now will the hope for the Indian to be heard in Parliament.

The resignation of Koh Tsu Koon form his post of Chief Minister of Penang is a obvious risky gambling where the Chinese in Pulau Pinang have put a full mandate to opposition to rule the state. It is said that the next CM will be Lim Kit Siang's son, Lim Guan Eng.

The defeat of Selangor into opposition is another history mark by the rakyat to give a bright hint to the Prime Minister on his previous governance. The Bersih rally gave a positive impact to the people of Kuala Lumpur and it surrounding on the previous political trend that is practiced by the UMNO as the Barisan Nasional caretaker.

PAS keeps Kelantan tight by majority win and the state will remain for PAS as UMNO failed to get the majority in both Parliamentary ans State.

As for Sabah and Sarawak, the BN victory over the State is a common trend since many years. The Barisan Nasional is predicted lost it majority if these two states win by the oppositions.

From the yesterday general election result, I can say that the people has changed the government due to previous failure performed by the Barisan Nasional. The detaining of MPs at the Parliament lobby by the police has shown that the freedom democracy is not practiced in such a justice and respectful manner. As a result, the perception of the rakyat toward the true democracy is absurd though the government has claim that the security and and peace are guaranteed in the country.

The hike of criminals in the country last few months also giving another impact to the Barisan Nasional manifesto of Security and Peace. The Altantuya murdered case and child abductions has threatened the malaysian of it flawless security and peace. Worst to worst, the high class criminal is committed by the police themselves and the Royal Police service has been questioned in sustaining a peaceful and safe country.

High corruption index in the the previous government gave a big impact on the rakyat's trust to Barisan Nasional as the government. Linggam tape and the police chief 20 million properties are the highlight of last year corruption cases. The Kasitah Ghadam corruption and Osu Sukam case in Sabah also the failure of the Abdullah Ahnad Badawi to fight corruption as per his promise.

The transparency election claimed by the rakyat through serial of rallies in the country. The BERSIH rally has brought to a great changes and perception of the actual meaning of transparent election.

Last 12th General Election has been decided by the people by the sense of urgency to retain the power to the people. The slim majority by the Barisan Nasional is a remarkable moment of corrupted, injustice and ignorance of the previous government under the Prime Minister AAB. The perception and understanding of politic has been fully understand by most of the urban people and those who were /or discriminated by the power of the previous government.

The new government is yet to from and the future will be painted by the new government next week. Indeed Security, Peace and Prosperity is a doubtful manifesto and Transparency, Justice and Honor are more needed than Barisan Nasional's absurd manifesto.
